Showalter Construction Company
CAN YOU DIG IT?
Showalter Family
In 1979 Brion and Sue Showalter leased the first scrapers to start Showalter Construction Company. By 1981 they owned those scrapers and the rest, as they say, is heavy equipment history. Since that time they have grown a family of four kids and nine grandkids and a thriving business. Brion and Sue have worked tirelessly to build a mass excavation company that is reputable both in product and service. One that will stand the test of time. And one that will continue on through their boys as a legacy.
Pictured above from left to right are Beau, Chad, Brion, and Caleb Showalter. They are the gentlemen that run the day-to-day operations at Showalter Construction Company. If you have a job with SCC, you will talk to at least one of these faces.
Beau and his wife Jessica along with their two boys, Peyton and Parker, have a small farm in Marsing that keeps them busy when they aren't working their day jobs. They are avid hunters and love to spend time outdoors with their boys.
Chad and his wife Gina also have two kids, Gene and Josie. They run cattle in Idaho and Oregon on Gina's family ground. They are handy at making some great ranch and rodeo horses and hard-working ranch kids.
Brion and Sue are where it all began. They have four wonderful children. Jenna, Chad, Beau, and Caleb. They have served the community in Marsing in countless ways including terms on the school board, working with the job corps, and being chief of the volunteer fire department. They donate to EVERY cause and relentlessly offer their time. Brion fills his spare time building and restoring classic race cars. Sue, who dabbles in everything from furniture restoration to being a landlord, has also opened a coffee shop in Marsing: OC Coffee.
Caleb and Katie have two kids, Alana and Luke. As if their active kiddos don't run them enough, they also keep themselves on their toes by managing a cow-calf operation. Katie is partnered with Sue on OC Coffee, and Alana puts in shifts when she isn't at college.
Not pictured is Jenna. She and her husband Jay live in Spring Creek, Nevada. They have three kids that have kept them running, literally and figuratively. Their boys, Cole and Clay, have both worked for Showalter Construction during their summer breaks. Daughter, Emma, comes and works for her Nana Sue at the coffee shop.
As you can see, Showalter Construction Company truly is a family affair.
